I am a second year student here at the University of Ottawa completing a Bachelor of Commerce.
I grew up in a small town called Perth, which is roughly an hour west of Ottawa. I have an older sister, Ashley who has two children (my niece, Mallory and my nephew, Carter) who live in another small town called Smiths Falls. My mother comes from a very large family of 8 sisters and 3 brothers, so you can just imagine all the cousins and other relatives come to the family parties! As a family we have gone on many vacations while growing up to places like Las Vegas, Florida, Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head, L.A, France, Halifax, Rhode Island, and many more. I feel very fortunate to have such wonderful opportunities in my life. I have two cats (Booty and Cinder) who I love and miss dearly. Since I have been at school unfortunately I was unable to take them with me. I also took part in many extra-curricular activities in high school such as volleyball, dance, and voice. In dance I took ballet, jazz, modern, and hip-hop. This is also a big part of my life that I miss since being at school. My favorite movies are Shrek and Twilight (first one), my favorite food is pasta, my favorite dessert is ice cream, my favorite songs are "Cannon in D Major" and "Gaga Romance", and my favorite colour is PINK! :)
Chosen Topic
I have chosen the topic of this years Winter Olympics which is taking place in "Our Native Land" , more specifically in the city of Vancouver. I chose this as my topic because I feel like it is very important and amazing to know that such an incredible event is taking place in our country! Through the links below you will be able to read some general information about the event, some more information specifically regarding the city of Vancouver, a schedule on when specific events are taking place, and finally a list of all the Canadian athletes who will be taking part including all the sports that take place during the winter games.

Wiki is a wonderful tool to use in order to express oneself individual or as a group on just about anything. It is a quick and relatively easy to put together and you can continually add and make changes to better suit your needs. You definitely do not need to be a computer expert to make one of these Wikispaces. There is also a help option if you feel the need to ask any questions or are unsure about carrying out a particular task. It offers many tools to meet those needs such as uploading pictures, making tables, adding videos, changing formats (fonts, colours, styles) and much more. Wikispaces also have the ability to allow others to correct, change or add pieces of information, pictures, etc. to your pages. They could fix your type-o's for instance or simply add a creative picture they thought would add value to what you are portraying. Wiki makes a great place to even plan a special event. Best of all especially for students is that it is FREE!! Overall it presents a great avenue to openly layout material you want to convey to others in whatever unique fashion you like!
